Hypatia's Egg Nog

Lisa notes: this costs alot, takes a while, but is SO WORTH IT.

6 eggs separated
1 c sugar
1 c Grand Marnier
1/2 c Rum
1/2 c Brandy
1 1/2 quarts whole milk
3 c whipping cream
nutmeg to sprinkle

Separate eggs, beat yolks until thick & light. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly. Continue beating while adding Grand Marnier, Rum and Brandy. Chill 1 hour. Stirring constantly, slowly add milk. Beat whipping cream until thick, set aside. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold both whipping cream and egg whites into egg mixture.

Tastes best after a day or so.

Sprinkle with nutmeg before serving.
